It’s almost time to wrap up the spring semester with 24/7 Study at the Pollak Library. Take a look at these tips to keep your finals week stress-free and help keep a healthy work-life balance!

Don’t know where to begin? A great place to start your research is exploring the library’s databases by subject. To choose the best database, think about which disciplines study the issues you are researching and use the recommended database list based on that subject area. Don’t stress if you get lost, librarians are here for you.

Walking to your car alone during extended hours? If you are concerned for your safety, stop by the circulation desk or call (657) 278-2515 from your mobile phone and ask for a safety escort. University police will ensure you get to your car or dorm room safe and sound. Services are limited to the campus boundaries.

Whether you left your laptop at home or yours is acting up, don’t stress! Stop by the Student Genius Corner or contact the IT Helpdesk in the Information Learning Commons. They can help with laptop rentals, downloading software, or campus related technologies such as Titanium, Titan Online, student email and more.

Need a break from reality? Explore new virtual worlds in the Division of Information Technology’s Exploration Room. Available on the 1st floor of the library, this new innovative space offers the opportunity to explore new technologies, like virtual reality, Alienware, HTC Vive, and a Microsoft Surface Hub. Must have a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 students, contact IT for more information or reserve a Smart Group Study Room online.

While a little bit of finals week stress is expected, be kind to yourself this finals season!
