Dr. Michael Shermer: Lecture Series Guest Speaker

Dr. Michael Shermer, founder of Skeptics Society, will be guest speaking at Patrons of the Library Lecture Series.

Skeptics Society is a non-profit scientific and educational organization with it’s own magazine, “Skeptic,” which is largely devoted to investigating pseudoscience.  Shermer is also the Editor in Chief.  Along with being an American science writer and science historian, Shermer is the producer and co-host for “Exploring the Unknown,” a 13-hour Fox Family television series.  He is a scientific adviser to the American Council on Science and Health and has been a monthly columnist for “Scientific American” magazine.  “The Moral Arc: How Science and Reason Lead Humanity Toward Truth, Justice, and Freedom” is Dr. Shermer’s newest book.

This lecture series will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00pm in Room PLN 130 of Pollak Library.  Parking for the lecture series is free.  Patrons of the Library members and the community are welcome to attend.
