The Pollak Library, in collaboration with the Office of Disability Support Services (DSS), strives to make library materials, both print and electronic, accessible to all students and others permitted to use the Pollak Library.
The Accessible Technology Center (ATC), located in PLN-106, provides a variety of equipment and software for use by students with disabilities, including JAWS, MAGIC, K3000, and Height Adjustable Work Tables. Access to the ATC is via key-swipe. Prior authorization to use the ATC is required and is provided by DSS.
In addition to the ATC, there are also 2 publicly accessible Accessible Workstations located on the 1st floor of the library. These workstations are first come, first serve, and do not require prior authorization from DSS. However, prior knowledge in use of the software and equipment is required.
Any student having challenges obtaining library materials due to disability are encouraged to go to the circulation desk, currently located on the 1st floor of Library North, to request assistance. Assistance will be provided as staff is available. It is recommended that you contact the circulation desk in advance to ensure that you are assisted in a timely manner. The circulation desk can be reached by phone at (657) 278-2721 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
