Pollak Library Now Provides Access to Import Genius Database

Import Genius logoShipping manifests in and out of U.S. Ports are public data. Unfortunately, this data is only available at the ports. Fortunately, for people who wish to know who can import or export their goods, there are companies that sift through these records and make the information available online to the public. Import Genius is one of these companies and we now subscribe to their database. Users must sign up for an account and are allowed up to 80 searches per day.

Search is by keyword only, but includes many different fields. So, for example, if I want to find out who shipped socks from China to the Port of Long Beach, the search would look like this.
